Who gets my advices most often?
The owner or top manager of a store which is scaling past 7-figures in revenue
You need to have optimized operations/infrastructure to handle new traffic and revenue. Server performance, continuous development, martech requests, warehouse integration and many more.
- Answers to your specific questions
- Analysis of existing codebase and site/server condition
- Ready-to-go roadmap from current condition to your goals
A businessman who
decided to test
a new E-commerce project
Who wants to quickly and intelligently test out an idea in ecommerce, but can’t choose those stacks, doesn’t have a plan, has a limited budget
- Development roadmap
- Rough estimation based on market average costs
- Prioritising features to follow your budget and terms
- Brainstorming regarding ideas and perspectives (which is possible to implement tech wise)
Hi, I'm Denis Cherniavsky
I go into the project completely, suggest solutions, select options on an affordable budget/timeline. I don’t try to fit it to my technical stack, time availability, and other constraints.
I’m just telling you how it MUST be, how it can be simplified, where it can’t be simplified. How to develop it even further and what benefits to get.
Upwork top rated plus freelancer (now probably just top rated). JSS 100%
Experience in development since 2008, a lot of projects during this time in different roles (from programmer to head of the agency)
Participation in large projects with a heavy performance and responsibility – understanding how their processes, infrastructure, and following are structured
WordPress contributor – made edits directly to wordpress itself
Participating in early- and mid-stage startups, understanding how to get the wheels turning in the beginning
Awesome job. He delivered real performance results where other freelancers used scammy plugins and tricks. One of the few REAL performance improvement freelancers on Upwork. If other people are quoting cheap rates for high scores on Pagespeed, don’t believe it. Anyone can game the system in a few minutes, but Danny delivered real results. He wasn’t the cheapest, but he did complete the project under the quoted time. Highly recommended!
Denis brought an extra level of talent to our production team to create a website CMS that was full of many features. After discussing the first round and seeing the beginnings of his production, I was never worried about what type of work he would be producing for us. Denis is also great at pointing out issues throughout the project and provided options on how to go about it according to your tastes and ideas.
Denis is a highly talented and professional developer. If you want someone who is considerate, highly diligent, a complex thinker, and extremely efficient, then I would recommend Denis in a heartbeat. English is a secondary language for him, but I would not say it was a roadblock in any way. And even though he was on the other side of the world, he was exceptionally good at being responsive and letting us know when he would be available or not
Question?
What are the guarantees that it will help me?
It depends on your tasks (see above). If we talk about a specific problem that can`t be solved as a result of our consultation, I will not take money from you. You “risk” only 1 hour of your time. And the risks, frankly speaking, are minimal. In my practice, I can remember literally a few issues I could not help with.
If we talk about analysis and planning, I am ready to guarantee the realism of my proposed plans, and in case the difficulties arise during their implementation, I am ready to make adjustments to the original plan for free. That is, I accompanyyou until the project is implemented (of course, if you are engaged in its implementation and follow our plan).
What is your experience?
I`ve been a web developer for more than 14 years. Every new project starts with a Discovery Phase, where I take a closer look at a new or existing project. I audit and make a plan. I have personally dedicated over 20,000 hours to commercial web development projects in various roles.
In total, with the projects that my agency has been implementing (since 2019, 20+ people), this figure can be multiplied by 2. That is more than 40 thousand hours of commercial development. Of course, I’m not personally involved in all the projects (quite the contrary). But our key employees were trained by me, and we created many processes together.
Since 2018, when I decided to focus only on WooCommerce, my main tasks are project planning and quality control. 90% of the projects are long-term and it is more about the continuous launch and implementation of subprojects. These are online shops with 7 and 8-digit turnover, in close integration with plenty of additional systems. This is 5000+ hours of direct planning, work with a client team, work with a development team and 20+ thousand hours of development by the team.
What eCommerce niches do you have the most experience with?
- Inexpensive retail (b2c, b2b) – clothing, electronics, food, and so on.
- Marketplaces (including services).
- Electronic (intellectual) goods.
- Subscription content, courses
To be honest, for me, the niche no longer matters now. I’ve listed the most frequent ones that I have encountered. But there is a feeling that in general I have already encountered all of them. Let’s surprise me.
Similarly, regarding geography and regional features (taxes, shipping, legal issues). I’m not an expert on legal details, but in one form or another, I have encountered most of them on client projects.
What if one consultation isn't enough?
See paragraph about guarantees.
At the beginning of the consultation, we’ll define the tasks and allocate the necessary time. I will immediately highlight what we can work out in detail and what is abstract. Then you decide what is more important.
Of course, I don’t promise a complete technical specification for 4 years of further work. However, we can work out the main issues that are relevant for now.
And if it is not enough, I’ll invite you for another consultation.
How to prepare for a consultation (for a client)?
Find a link to your store, write down the main issues and just in case have at hand accesses to the admin panel and git / ftp.
State your goal clearly.
It’s okay if we move away from it (it happens half the time). But I always start with understanding your request and vision.
I have no WooCommerce / WordPress.Do you work with this?
We worked, but for now, rather no than yes. Technology is rapidly moving forward and the experience of 7 years ago is no longer relevant.
In our agency, we have self-written CRM systems on supporting based on symphony, react-applications, etc. But these are rather exclusive conditions for our regular customers.
Briefly write your request, and I’ll definitely view it and try to suggest something (for free). Though I don’t promise a full-fledged high-quality consultation.
For example, at the beginning of January I advised one startup in the field of social networks and automation, regarding my vision of the development roadmap. But I did it for free and rather to the soul. Paid consultations have much higher quality requirements and contain much more details.
